June 4, 2014 (West Bloomfield, MI) – FCICAthe Flooring Contractors Association, will host a webinar on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 11:00 am EST and again on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 11:00 am.

Graham Capobianco ICRI, LEED GA, -Technical Sales Coordinator for AC•Tech Allied Construction Technologies, Inc. will present Using Moisture Control To Improve Construction Schedules.

The purpose of this presentation is to educate architects, engineers, design professionals, and construction industry personnel use moisture control to compress construction schedules, decrease installation times, reduce risks, and eliminate complications that can arise later in the construction process.

After establishing the proper terminology used when discussing concrete and identifying the most common causes of moisture related failures, we’ll discuss how current moisture testing and control methods can cause complications and delays in construction schedules. Then, we’ll learn how to specify moisture control procedures earlier in the construction schedule, to eliminate risks and reduce installation times and how to select suitable moisture control products for new concrete construction to incorporate into a USGBC LEED sustainable design strategy.

Graham Capobianco is the fifth and latest generation of a family in floor covering and is no stranger to the myriad of potential failures that await every flooring installation. Graham has spent 7+ years in flooring sales and has spent the past 4 years working with concrete moisture control, contamination, oil remediation and epoxy flooring products. Graham has helped customers and clients overcome situations that would otherwise make normal flooring installation impossible. Graham currently works within the technical department of AC•Tech, a specialty coatings manufacturer based in Norfolk, VA.
