This VERY Dense Epoxy grips onto problem concrete slabs to lock-in soaked-in oils and other hydrocarbons while also controlling excess concrete moisture vapor and creating an impact resistant surface.

Most epoxies, polyurethanes, polyaspartics, polyurea, cementitious overlays, mortars, and underlayments will be compatible with the ACTECH Oil Buster™ Epoxy.

You will want to apply a UV protective top coat that will also provide the qualities required of your new floor (for example; skid resistance, color, easy maintenance, gloss, additional impact resistance, etc).

YES, but with some caveats.

• Decorative Quartz (broadcast directly into the Oil Buster™ Epoxy) will consume a lot of expensive colored quartz (will "drown").
• Except for the most skilled of craftsmen, broadcasting decorative flakes directly into the VES Epoxy Slurry will waste a lot of expensive flake (will "drown").
• As a general rule, ACTECH recommends that a single or double decorative broadcast system be installed on the ACTECH Oil Buster™ Epoxy once it is able to support light foot traffic (approx 12 hours after application in a 70*F / 70% RH acclimated environment).

The on-site / hands-on supervisor of an installation team should have a minimum of 5 years experience with epoxy applications. Oil Buster™ is self-leveling and somewhat forgiving in the hands of comparatively unskilled crew members.

No special tools are required beyond a squeegee/backroll application. A porcupine roller is recommended to assist in self-leveling and the break-up of occasional air bubbles.

Minimum Spread rate is 16 mils -- approximately 100 SF/gallon. All high points of the mechanically profiled concrete surface must be covered by a minimum 16 mils for protection against soaked-in oil and excessive moisture vapor in concrete.

• Method #1 - Brush blast with a swing sander within 72 hours of applying next coat/product to remove gloss that may have formed on the Oil Buster™ surface. This will help ensure the best possible bond.

• Method #2 - Broadcast sand (to refusal) into the Oil Buster™ coat. This will provide an excellent mechanical bond for the next product.
